It is a R2 virtual machine so I’ll kick off a checkpoint before I run those dism commands just on case! Thanks for that Akshay! I got a rather worrying error when I ran the dism. Any ideas what is going on here and how do I sort that corruption problem before I proceed with doing the clean-up? It has generated a 17 MB log file so too big to paste in here but let me know if you need any extracts from it to help you help me get to the bottom of this problem.

Yes I’ve got that disk clean-up tool installed but my problem is even if I run disk cleanup as admin it doesn’t give me the option to cleanup the Windows Update files.
