I am turning my computer into a server it has one cpu and 12gig of ram. I don’t know much about server software and my thought was to put windows server on it and do two vms with windows 7 pro as clienst for educational purposes with two other desk tops on a home lab. My question is with standard you can have two vms, is that so you can install windows server on them for additional roles. Another question is can the host have other roles besides managing the other servers and since there is not much computing going on can I put a lot of roles on one server.
